Keith Trimble qualified in 1995 from Queen’s University, Belfast.  He was awarded Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2006 after training in the Northern Ireland Deanery. His sub-specialist training in paediatric surgery was in Sick Kids Hospital, Toronto, Canada for 2 years. He then stayed for nearly a year in Canada as an associate before returning as a Consultant to Belfast in April 2008.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, member of the British Association of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (BAO-HNS), Northern Secretary of the Irish Otolaryngology Society and was council member of the British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngologists from 2012 to 2016. 

His areas of research interest include radiological imaging of the inner ear and cochlear implantation in children. He lectures at the British Paediatric Otolaryngology Course.
